sounds like an electrical problem. How's your oil level? Fuel level?

i have a 96 toyota corolla a/t which is preety much exactly the same car. my car doesnt exactly stall wht happens is that the engine tries to stall giving the car a big forward jerk but i think the cars momentun starts the car up again and this thing repeats twice or thrice and then the car is back to normal because most of the time by the third jerk the car has exited the corner and is going straight. now i have heard and have some of my own theories about this. 1.) it could be that u need a tune up. 2.) the fuel filter is jamed and when the car needs the fuel really bad the filter cant supply it causing the engine to suffocate on fuel. 3.) there is some sort of fuel cut off that prevents u to push the car farther than it can go.
now before anything else i should have mentioned that the car does this for me when i am taking extremely fast corners. i.e. when i am autocrossing and hence i am pushing the car very hard. jsut for that reason i lean towards the 3rd reason for the engine stall thingy happening. one more thing the car has yet to completely stall on me.. it does the stall, jerk thing and at the end of that the car is always running, i.e. i have yet to crank the key after the whole sharade.
if u figure somethig out let me know.. my email is funfunnydude@gmail.com
