The other 3 spark plugs

My car has been running really rough lately (missing/difficulty accelerating/sounds rough when idling) so I thought I'd try changing the spark plugs. I did the front 3 but can't even find the back three. Does anyone know where I need to be looking and if there are any tricks to access them?
Thanks :)

They are on the back side of motor, and I don't know any tricks to help out other than use a 3/8 drive set of sockets, perhaps a swivel. I've changed them in our old Corsica several times over it's 165K and it's been a pain every time. Use patience. Follow your plug wires back there, possibly use brighter lighting etc. Replace your wires while you are at it, don't try to re use the old ones. If you have never done it before, remove and clean the IAC(Idle Air Control) as they get clogged with carbon and screw up your idle. Don't press on the spring, just clean it and the area it sits it. You can remove the plate near it and clean the area better. Check your vacuum hoses too. especially going to the MAP sensor. Maybe spray some injector cleaner into the intake for good measure.

In another car forum I just got the answer to this problem.
You may not find it credible but!!! the engine tilts forward to allow access to the back side.

I do not have all the details but evidently you loosen the motor mount bolts and pivot the engine forward.

When I get more details I will follow up if you like.

Lee,

Did you get the details on how the motor is tipped?

Thanks,

Mike

I've heard of that before, but I would leave that to the pro's.

Seriously you can on most cars with the 60degree family. Look at the dog bone on the top of your motor. If it has a small loop of metal hanging off one side of it you should be able to. Remove one of the bolts for the dogbone (my memory fails me as to which one it has been11 yrs since I have owned a car that this could be done to) grab the top backside of the intake runners and pull. If you cant get it yourself have someone help by pushing on the car. Put the dogbone bolt back in but through the loop in the mount this time. No one was smoking anything I have done it and believe me Im not a small guy and this helped me a lot!

You might want to try to take off the igntion coils also. It made it a little easier for me to reach them.
