Are cars like Skylines and Silvias illegal in america? Or is it possible to drive one in america? I know RHD is legal because jeep makes RHD wranglers, but i hear that some japanese cars arent allowed because of safety issues. Can someone please post a link or explain the criteria for a legal car in america?

Skyline is the Infiniti G35, same thing. I don't know if Silvia is illegal in USA or not, Nissan used to sell it as 240SX, but not the latest one. It's more likely that Nissan didn't choose to export them to USA, not because it doesn't meet safety standards.

you can import older Skylines from Motorex, they are the only liscenced importer in the US. There is no liscenced importer for silvias, but you can make one out of a Nissan 240SX.

there are no laws regarding horsepower in the US, the unfederalized skylines and silvias are not allowed because they weren't built to United States emissions and crash safety standards
