Will it fit?94DXSiR 04-03-2005, 05:38 AM I just have a quick question. Ive been reading up on the Edelbrock Turbo kit and was wondering something. In my 94 DX coupe w/ a B16A engine in it. Has anyone put that turbo kit in the same year car and come into any problems with getting it in without modification? And please, Im not looking to hear what turbos better or why not do this and that, its a simple yes or no question. Thank you. richard skinner 04-03-2005, 09:49 AM it will work but the stock hood has to come off because they don't clear. my 94dx coupe runs 14.53 @ 98.23 mph. I do not know if your DX is faster or slower than mine but a T3 turbo will blow my turbo and your turbo out of the water. civickiller 04-03-2005, 01:34 PM damn, hows that you also got a 94 civic dx. hey uhh original poster, dont listen to him he is just making up stuff. he really drives a 84 prelude 94DXSiR 04-03-2005, 06:37 PM Thanks Civickiller, though I kinda figured that one because Ive read those same posts of his. Let him enjoy all his imaginary cars if thats his thing. Anways that question still remains, you know, Edelbrock Turbo kit in a 94 DX coupe w/ a B16A will it fit? civickiller 04-03-2005, 06:40 PM i dont know much about the edelbrock kit but if its for a b series in a 5th gen, then why wouldnt it fit? 94DXSiR 04-03-2005, 06:50 PM Well, on the site the kit is made for the 99-00 Si Civic, but I basically have the same engine but in a 94 body, guess I should have mentioned that earlier. superbluecivicsi 04-03-2005, 08:21 PM piping may be a little different. something cutting and welding can easily take care of. civickiller 04-03-2005, 08:40 PM also the engine management will be different because its for obd2, not obd1. unless you want to convert to obd2. maybe you should look for another kit that doesnt come with any kind of ecu and just get a hondata 94DXSiR 04-04-2005, 04:08 AM Thats just the answer I was looking for, thank you very much, I forgot about that OBD 2 thing since I have a OBD1, thanks for the reminder. GScivic7 04-04-2005, 04:56 AM When did Edelbrock start making kits for the Si's? 94DXSiR 04-04-2005, 08:03 PM http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/sport_compact/turbo.html It says it right there under the Street Legal Turbo Kits list, part #1501 if I remembered right. Thats what I was baseing my info from. GScivic7 04-05-2005, 02:29 AM oh damn, didn't even know that. I wonder what kind of power those kits are making. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
