I have a 92 V6 with 129000 miles. All of the engine coolant leaked out driving home the other day. When I add coolant it all leaks out some where above the transmission in the back of the engine. It completely drains all of the coolent from the radiator and resevoir in about 10 min. I can not see exactly where it is leaking from. Any ideas?

Check to see if a freeze plug popped out and it is allowing the fluid the escape.

I recently had the same prob on my 93 4runner. Turns out it was a hose at the back of the engine. You need a flash light. Go to the back close to the engine firewall and on top ,you will see a couple of hoses joined by curved metal pipes. I suspect these are heater hoses. There is one that goes down and connects to what appears to be the engine block/head. Mine was held on by a spring clamp. You will need a long needle nose pliers to remove that clamp BTW. Check those hoses around that area to see if thats your prob. Cheers.
