Teh Civ has 147K. Could probably squeeze out another 70-80K more if I tried. But I'm too impatient and I would like new life in about 50k. L8...

1992 Chevrolet K1500: 133,000

1972 Chevrolet Vega (in the sig): no idea, lol. The car was built probably 13 years ago (by built, I mean set up the way it is now). The current engine has about 15 race weekends on it, and the transmission has about 20.

You're a brave man. If you don't have a non-interference engine and the timing belt snaps you will be rebuilding the valve-train.

Timing belts aren't supposed to go much past 65,000 - 75,000 miles. I would get it changed ASAP.

zetec's are non interference motors so if I blow the belt, simple replacement.

Theres zetec contour's who've lasted 150+k on a stock timing belt. Mine still looks brand new. But I am gettin it done in a couple weeks.

Just about to hit 78,000 on my 8v 2.0L ... I anticipate having put 15K on it myself when I get to the 2-year mark in a few months.

I need the car to last, the ABA is notoriously reliable though, so hopefully I'll get another 30-70K without problems :)

That way I can spend $$ on mods not repairs ;)
