You probably find the alarm just too loud. Mine on my '99 use to run me daffy, and unfortunately there was no way to reprogram the audible level .... at least I never found a way.

But I did fix my concern. By removing the instrument cluster and plugging the little sounder with RTV. I can still hear the sounder, but it no longer runs me crazy.

The sounder is about a 1" dia printed circuit device mounted on the rear of the instrument cluster assembly. No, there is no other way to reach this area without removing the instrument cluster.

Thanks 12 ounce. 2 friends of mine bought new ford trucks one a 04 the other 05. Both had this alarm disabled @ the dealership. They say the salemen did a little thing by turning the key off and on so many times and something else but did not totally know. I was wandering if this could be done to my van?

I have heard of a dealer doing it but it involved a tech and a scan tool.
