How do i get to this dang thing?! I know exactly where it is (under the back seat or behind it...) yet i cannot manage to get these clips off. Ive tried everything.

Actually i may as well ask here...My top no longer goes up on its own. Im not sure if its a motor problem or an electricity problem. Im leaning more towards the electric problem. My trunk button no longer works either and my windows (automatic) go up very slowly. Could this be caused by a bad battery or what?

Remove the rear seat bottom by pulling carefuuly. That exposes two nuts that hold the rear seat back in place. Remove the nuts, and lift the seat back out. The top motor is behind the insulation behind the seatback. My top goes down, but won't go up anymore without help. I filled the hydraulic reservoir, but that didn't help. I don't know if it's the pump or the hydraulic cylinder(s).

Can you tell me what type of fluid is used for the top motor ?

If you make it to the motor, it should say Dextron II, if I remember correctly. Basically the same stuff you put in your transmission. But confirm that before you try anything.
