I'm debating on whether or not to even get subs (because I'm planning on a new car in the future)..

Anyways.. if I cut out the lock mechanism for the rear seats in my 95 EX coupe (the lock doesn't work anyways, it was broken when I bought it), could I fit an 8" sub in its place?

it ill rattle like hell. ive got 6*9s there and it took alot to get tehm to not rattle. and that rear metal deck isnt flat and if u just plan to put on that fabric covered panel i seriously dought ull hear or feel much thump

Ok thanks.. after reconsidering I guess it'd be a bad move if I wanted to sell the car later anyway.. guess I'll go with the original planning of sinking it into the fiberboard piece in the trunk.
