Recommendation for easy car to drawDaniel_Jones 03-27-2005, 12:24 AM Hello people, could someone please recommend a car that is really easy to draw. I am only a beginner at drawing cars and im not very good. Can you also supply a picture please. Thanks in advance. Synx 03-27-2005, 02:38 AM Hi, welcome to forum. Well, I can advice you to choose a car without reflections on the body and with simple rims. knightvision 03-27-2005, 04:35 AM VW Jetta, Ferrari F40, new Cadillacs, 80s american sedans, KITT... try to find a car that is boxy. And like said chose one with easy rims. Those BBS y-Spoke rims can get you crasy... :screwy: stuffbyalex 03-27-2005, 02:27 PM How about this? http://img65.exs.cx/img65/6360/2004mercedescalendar0064sh.th.jpg (http://img65.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img65&image=2004mercedescalendar0064sh.jpg) No, seriously, try an old chevelle. They're pretty boxy and don't have excessive amounts of detail: http://img65.exs.cx/img65/3985/malibuside3mr.th.jpg (http://img65.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img65&image=malibuside3mr.jpg) Hope this helps Alex bonzelite 03-27-2005, 04:50 PM caddy escalade --one of the easiest (and ugliest) vehicles i've ever drawn on the spot for a client. it is so basic and nothing but a bunch of squares with occasional arcs. and it is fun to draw it because it is a rolling parody of itself. KustmAce 03-27-2005, 07:46 PM Hummer, H1. DerekDodge 03-27-2005, 08:11 PM I think A VW BEETLE would be good that way you get to know how to draw arc's Zwofurti 03-28-2005, 07:45 AM Nissan 350Z is a very easy car to draw. nicecar 03-28-2005, 08:19 AM Nissan 350Z is a very easy car to draw. try convincing that to me .. lol :grinno: try doing what i do and fill a paper with ideas for headlights, rims, body etc. then invent ur own easy to draw car, do it again but change parts around until u like it and then do it again and again, just try'na help, chris lotuz 03-28-2005, 08:38 AM i think, nissan skyline ( r34 ) is good fot practice nicecar 03-28-2005, 09:02 AM i think, nissan skyline ( r34 ) is good fot practice I agree!! chris N2OZeBozz 03-28-2005, 10:35 AM The R34 is quite difficult to draw!! A good trial will be the caddi escalade or hummer H1 or H2. and I'll add Dodge Magnum ATMDC 03-28-2005, 12:41 PM ive always found that the easiest car for me to draw had always been the toyota supra 93' & up DerekDodge 03-28-2005, 12:43 PM ive always found that the easiest car for me to draw had always been the toyota supra 93' & up Heh I Wish i was you. :smokin: venom_design 03-29-2005, 06:41 AM i think a Fiat Panda or Fiat Multipla will be easy to sketch...all straight lines. knightvision 03-29-2005, 09:42 AM i think a Fiat Panda or Fiat Multipla will be easy to sketch...all straight lines. Yeah lol but when he draws these ugly cars he'll probably loose the delight to draw cars. HighOctaneNOSUser 03-29-2005, 10:25 AM The angles on the r34 can be pretty difficult at times. And hey, It might be boxy, but its still fast as hell. KaotiKCamaro5 03-31-2005, 04:33 PM camaros are easy to draw, really the only car i have attempted, considering i own one. but the 3rd gens (82-92) are relatively boxy, easier for me to draw.. imo. * im kindof new to this area, kustmace's artwork got me hooked, you guys will probably see me here from time to time. but im no artist by any means.. stuffbyalex 04-01-2005, 03:13 AM how about a 300C? they're pretty straight forward and boxy. Alex N2OZeBozz 04-01-2005, 07:48 AM Check out this mustang, I think its relatively easy to draw, straight line, its in a good angle, it doesn't have too much perspective... http://img114.exs.cx/img114/808/2005mustang2028medium295zc.th.jpg (http://img114.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img114&image=2005mustang2028medium295zc.jpg) In my opinion, don't start to draw a car with slanting front, like Porsche, Rx7,....sometines it sucks when you don't get the slanting angle stuffbyalex 04-01-2005, 01:49 PM Good point n20z That angle is much easier to draw than something like this: http://img220.exs.cx/img220/3175/2005mustanggtrconceptfatop1024.th.jpg (http://img220.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img220&image=2005mustanggtrconceptfatop1024.jpg) LTD 04-01-2005, 10:28 PM Hi, Looking for something to draw? LTD 04-02-2005, 10:46 AM Hi, Here are a few more car/truck recommendations that should be easy to draw. Ford Aerostar 1980s Dodge Caravan/Plymouth Voyager Scion xB Any American, European, or Japanese station wagon from the 60s-80s 1932 Ford hot rod/street rod/rat rod. Preferably a roadster without fenders. Ran 04-02-2005, 11:03 AM I think we have made enough recommendations for someone who doesn't even care to come back to check his thread and reply to all the useful posts here. grantrl78 04-10-2005, 07:55 PM The way to get good is to draw something hard :) Over and over and over and over and over and over. Untill you are sick of drawing it. Then it becomes like your signature. Fast and easy. You don't even think about it . It just comes out looking good and natural. You know, its a good encouragement for a beginner, but as Ran said its now useless saying such things when someone is dead. The only thing you can expect is to hear a reply from other persons except the owner. Hope it will help others who begin car drawing!! :p grantrl78 04-10-2005, 09:47 PM Yep. guess I should read all of the posts before I start with the art advice. Bet he will be back though. At some point . :smokin: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
