i have a 97 gmc K1500 w/ 4.3 standard transmission skips and sputters sometimes backfires new tune up new converter fuel pump(last summer) engine light on hooked up to snap-on computer unknown code # discpt of code (random misfire) no kidding didnt need to spend $75.00 to know that this only happens at cruising speed (basicly when maintaining speed) plently power when stepping on it or idling was told it could be my spider injector :eek7: any suggestions would help :banghead:

I would try a new distributor cap with brass contacts. The injectors would not be on my list to look at at this point. You should have it hooked back up to the snap on and see what the cam retard(cam offset) is. You could have worn distributor or timing gears/chain that is causing the misfire at light throttle cruise
