I have a 97 XLT (92000 miles)with overheating problems. It looks as if its the head gasket. I will be getting this fixed by our local Dealership.

Question: Once done what harm has been done to the vehicle? Should I fix this and then look to trade in for newer truck OR will this be a good fix and the truck will last many years of driving??

The Expedition is in great shape overall - I love the thing!
