i have a 99 SE, and the alarm wont go off!! My stuff was stolen and my alarm was partialy to blame. I hit the lock button and it honks the horn one time. I can practicaly run and kick the van and it wont go off! what's the deal????

If I remember correctly the factory alarm system does not have motion or impact type sensors. The alarm will only be triggered if the doors are opened. A quick test would be lock and arm the alarm the same as normal but leave a window open. Wait about a minute then reach through the window without unlocking the van, open the door from the inside. The alarm should then be triggered.

The hood is also wired. If you open the hood while the alarm is set, it will go off.
