P10, P11 Suspension Travel, bad as B13, B14SR20detttt 07-06-2001, 04:11 AM Does the G20 suffer from the same suspension travel limitations as the b13 and b14? b-b00gie 07-06-2001, 06:40 AM ...and what would those be? ever since the P11's inception its superior handling has been raved for by every car reviewer, and is one of the top selling points of the car. G-Forces 07-06-2001, 08:37 AM I think he means after it's been lowered. And the answer to this is yes! I demonstrated this to Luke a couple weeks ago. This is after i adjusted my suspension. If you have an open wheel and a lowered suspenion you can reach thru the wheel and feel around the dust boot. You will be able to feel the top of the shock and to bottom of the bumpstop. On Lukes car there was maybe an inch and a but of suspension travel. The fronts are a little harder to get to while it on the ground, but I suspect the same thing. So what you need to do is cut the bumpstop, something like it did. This will give you a bit more travel. Also the Motivational.net rear suspension mounts help too. G-Forces 07-06-2001, 08:40 AM Here's a pics of my modifided bumpstop and a stock one. b-b00gie 07-06-2001, 08:56 AM hehe.. I know everyone will start asking so, that green thing is a zip tie. ;) G22DET 07-06-2001, 09:01 AM it's TEIN rubber band..hehe b-b00gie 07-06-2001, 09:05 AM lol.... suuure, straight from Tein in Japan? adds 20hp?? haha! i'm doing the same, got some zipties already, but unfortunately mine are white and dont match the Tein's lol... oh well shoot me! P10DET 07-06-2001, 09:54 AM Originally posted by SR20detttt Does the G20 suffer from the same suspension travel limitations as the b13 and b14? This refers to the P10 only - I have no experience with the P11 I don't believe that is the case in the front. There appears to be more suspension travel in the front than either the B13 or B14. The travel in the rear of the P10 I believe is similar to the B13. The B14, however, has almost no suspension travel when lowered unless using a short body damper. kenchan 07-06-2001, 12:25 PM hi dudes. I re-set my TEIN's today since i got a couple hundred miles on it to break them in (P11). I set it at F11 R12 from full hard. seems to work much better than what I had it when I was breaking them in F14 R14 (close to stock). I did notice that at the F14, the front will fullbump on expressway dips and bumps. It seems like the car handles well with the front sus set 1-2 clicks stiffer than the rears. the rears seem to have enough sus travel, but the front is pretty limited. compared to my HA's though, the stroke is very soft on the NA's. My HA's set at 12 clicks from full hard is much much stiffer than the NA's. I think I'm gonna try F9 R 10 next time on the G20. lates. :D G22DET 07-06-2001, 12:57 PM hehe...when i had the teins, i was driving on 12/12....your setting would be soo soft ken!! hehe kenchan 07-06-2001, 06:42 PM luke- I think you're counting the clicks backwards. you mean you set yours at F4 R4, right? F12 R12 is pretty soft, kinda what I'm doing right now. ;) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
