Aight, I been drifting around for a while now, using clutch pop and shift lock techniques. I heard that doing shift lock is bad for your driveline...just wondering if that is true. Also, what is better higher speed drift technique, Kansei Drift or power over?

I'll only perform shift lock on wet so it won't damage the drivetrain , it's true... about the second question i like power over more... anyway my favourite are jump-drifts (althought they damage the tires and can scratch the rims) and parralel drifts they're the most fun... also a nice power over is always nice... It's a shame that the closest track from me is 350 Km away... And there are no mountain roads near the place where i live...

I have yet to try the Jump-drift, haven't done the parralel drift either. Usually I don't do power over, since i only have stock 240sx, not too much power behind it, but doing feint drift is what comes easier. That is what i meant, not kansei drift. Another thing, you are founder of Tofu Crew right? What is it about? SOunds interesting, how bout letin me join in on the action? :sun:

Have you installed LSD or even tuned the suspension?!?!?!?!?!

I mean damn, I had tried drifting my car when it was stock back in the day and it was nothing but a bitch.Without LSD, all i did was fish tail everywhere and spin out.Then i got LSD and still needed to tune my suspension just so that it would be smooth enough for me not to throw up everywhere.

And you can power drift with a stock KA engine, u just need to know when to open the throttle all the way.Oh and if you don't have LSD then you won't be able to power over let alone drift any other way.

LSD, WHat is LSD? (said by Takumi). Sounds like a good idea to get LSD but not right now, saving up for SR20DET, since i don't make too much money, all i do make goes to my future engine. You don't really need LSD, i don't even have ABS. So if i ever do get those things, would that mean i be a better driver...mean drifter? You can stick an awesome driver (doridori) into a crappy car and he can drift the hell out of corners. You stick a crappy driver in a nice car, he will drift right into hell. ;)

50/50 weight ratio makes for best drifting as you can enter corners faster

Bunta: I really beg to differ with you on this, i think we touched on this in a thread a while ago. my car is 50/50 and trust me it does not like to drift. It like to stay put and just grip around the turn, its hard to break it loose, even with a really hard feint attempt. I think that if you look into it, most of the popular drift cars (ae86, s13, s14, 15, fc, markII) do not have a 50/50 ratio, and that is what makes them good drift cars, they dont like to stay straight,.
