I have an 02 chevy tahoe 4x4. The battery goes dead when I let it sit for 7 to 10 days without driving. I have had the alt checked and replaced the battery 4 times in the last 2 months. There are no lights that I can see on at night. My mechanic is lost...Any help???PLEASE Thanks in advance

find a mechanic who knows how to do a proper parasitic draw test. could be almost anything from glovebox/ashtray/hood light staying on to stuck relay or shorted wire, stuck switch or bad module. maybe give the dealer a try.

I have same thing on my Porsche. 24mA going some place odd. This is like a 500 ohn resistor to ground.

Get volt/amp meter. One that can handle a few amps.

With everything off put it in series with battery and remove fuses one at a time until to current drops near zero. Then get out schematic and see what is attached. Move amp meter to replace fuse in circuit drawing the wierd currecnt. Isolate further.

as a general rule if you take the reserve capacity of your battery and divide it by 4 thats the number of miliamps you can have as a parasitic draw. most the modules will suck a little juice as will the stereo memory, clock, alarm system and maybe a few other things.

Try checking your brake lite switch. It maybe opening up enough for a drain to be on battery to the EBS system but not opening up enough to light the brake lites.
