My boyfriend bought a bike from his friend (who got it from his cousin). Each person keeps selling the bike to get money and only have had it for a week. The cousin sent out for the papers and signed a bill of sales. Unfortunately, he got shot recently, and died. My boyfriend never got the papers, and doesnt want to bug the family for them after what has happened. Anyways, i have no idea what im talking about and hope someone can help us out. Take the vin no. to DMV and tell them the situation on the bike and ask them to run a histery on the vin no. they may ask you to take the bike to the Highway patrol to confirm the numbers match then you should be able to get a new pink. but thay may ask you to get the bill of sale from the other people just to confirm your story them.
