1993 325ic SRS light on. Help Please010175 03-21-2005, 10:32 AM I have a 1993 BMW 325ic with 77,000 miles on it. I don’t drive it much and the other day the SRS light on the overhead was light up. What does that mean and how can I fix it? I can fix most things on a car but I have no idea on which part normally causes the light to come on. Is it possible a repair code will come up on this SRS system or is the SRS not tied to the code system? Thanks Dave Skycity_BMW 03-23-2005, 02:51 PM it may have to be reset . . . did the battery go dead? 010175 03-24-2005, 01:17 AM Thanks for the reply. Nice cars. Yes the batter did go dead. How do you reset the light? Thanks Dave Skycity_BMW 03-24-2005, 09:35 AM You need to buy a reset tool for the SRS What is the SRS light trying to tell me? The BMW SRS light can mean any number of things from serious to minor. Sometimes it's alerting you to the real need for a repair of a broken part, but sometimes it is merely indicating that a circuit critical to proper SRS operation was temporarily disconnected (i.e. while you were installing a stereo, alarm, racing seat or steering wheel). Here ya go . . http://www.bimmerzone.com/BMW_SRS_Airbag_reset_tool.htm Good Luck ! ! mjacobs732 10-09-2005, 09:53 PM Did you ever get your 1993 SRS light reset? The tool to which you referred, I was told by the vendor, does not work on the 1993 (I have a 1993 325ic). I took my car to the dealer; they charged me $240 to tell me they couldn't communicate with the SRS module and a replacement is $1200. Ouch!! MAJ 010175 10-10-2005, 01:18 AM No i have not got it reset yet. I was just reading that the srs reset tool start at 1994 and up. If you find the tool let me know. Thanks Dave 010175 11-14-2005, 02:22 AM Still looking for a reset tool for the 1993. Most tools start at 1994 and up. Where do I find a 1993 and older reset tool?
