I am planning on getting 17in rims on my honda civic, and I have tokico hp struts and springs and also I some cheap front and rear lower and upper strut bars. So far the ride is fine and handles great, I am a little worried about the cheap strut bars bending, but thats not the problem. I was wondering if I got 17 in rims on my 92 ex four door would it rub. I have a 2in drop. Also what offset and stuff should I use so that I dont run into the problem of rub. Rolling my fenders is my very last option. So what offset have u guys used to and size tire on your cars so it does not rub.

Go to www.tirerack.com and learn about plus sizing. The site will even tell you the correct wheel & tire sizes. Your ride won't be so great with 17's because of the tire size needed, the sidewall will be VERY short. Tire sidewalls absord bumps, cracks, etc.

I rec. nothing larger than 16" on a civic and performance 14" or 15" wheels.

ive got 17s without drop and they rub a bit during hard turns. get 15s u prob wont regret it. if u reallly want some bigger rims dont go above 16

Why doesn't anyone ever mention 13" wheels? Wouldn't those be the best? I STILL haven't tried my civic's 13" stock wheels in my garage on my GSR because I've been lazy. Actually I know you'll be slower with the 13's but you'll have alot more acceleration wouldnt you? and for some reason I still have this urge to swap the engines between the civic and integra. Civic with B18C1 and GSR Integra with a D16Y7. :smokin:

:)

i dont think 13 inch wheels would fit on a civic idk but the problem is that u have too much tire sidewall which i belive decreases handling bc of the tire flexing more side to side(i think thats right). there are acuras with d16s out there. sold in canada tough

13's are great but look like shit with the right size tires. Many people at the autocross events run 13's with short sidewalls.

Shorter diameters help acceleration
Taller diameter helps top end
