Flowmaster Question (Mr. Northface) emitchell233 03-19-2005, 01:06 PM
Hey, I was wondering what exactly I should do to get the Flowmaster 50 series on my truck? I have a K&N Filter with a Chrome intake (ebay, but works nice) and I'm interested in putting a Flowmaster on it. Is there a way to just get away with slapping a new muffler on it, or do I have to replace some of the piping too? Sorry, not very good with exhaust stuff. Thanks!!! P.S. I put Mr. Northface because I notice he has Flowmaster, but ANYONE can answer! :-) Thanks again! Mr. Northface 03-19-2005, 03:30 PM Well, I had the local Midas shop do mine. The sawed (spelling?) off the stock muffler & replaced it with the 70Series FlowMaster. The stock muffler was a little bit longer than the FlowMaster so they had to add a small piece to it, but so far everything is good with it. I don't know if the 50 Series is smaller yet....I think that it is....so they may have to install a little extra piece. There was another guy on here who ran true duels of the 50 Series out the back of his TB...... Hope this helps....if not, I will try, try again:smile: Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
