I recently have a code 8 showing under the seat of my car. Red light flashes 8 times then pauses.... 8 times then pauses... 8 times then pauses...etc. I looked in my manuel and its TDC Crank Angle. Looking also for the information on it . My crank sensor is located in the Distributor. Went and bought a new one and Installed it. {pretty easy}. I cleared the codes and started the car and the code is still there. What to do now. I have no clue. The distributor is OEM :disappoin Im driving a 1990 Legend sedan sutomatic.

check the wiring from the ecu to the sensor. see if any of the wires are shorted to ground. if none are shorted to ground...then you may be looking at a bad ecu. if you have a ohm meter...it would be handy for checking for shorts.

I took it to the Stealership and they stole me for $106.88 to tell me I need another distributor. They saw that I had a new one and it was bad. I replaced the New distributor with a new distributor and its all gravy train now.
