'67 Drag Buggy jazon720 03-18-2005, 06:24 PM
Hello, my auto class is doing a '67 bug drag racer and where are starting with a frame, engine(with plaster all in it), fenders and that's about it. Now i'm in charge of buying parts we need and i'm wondering if you know any sites to check out for cheap quality racing parts(doesn't matter what kind of parts, as long as it is involved in racing). Also if any of you drag your '67 beatle can you post what mods you did and maybe how much you paid for it or where you got it from. Any help is greatly appreciated. I now this board isn't that lively so any help on anyparts would be appreciated. keep in mind i have off-roading i.e. sand in mind for this '67 beetle. boschmann 03-24-2005, 03:19 PM There are alot of places, just do a Google search. For used try http://www.thesamba.com For new try Mid America Motorworks (Formerly Rocky Mountain Motorworks) http://www.800luvbugg.com/shop Bugs For You http://www.bfyobsoleteparts.com/ There are many others.... half_breed_333 05-14-2005, 01:37 AM well, if it's for dragracing, just don't run the alternator or the fan, it sucks up power, and it should get very hot at all (my dad races his 2332 with dual 48 delortos and it never gets hot at all) Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
