My dig. odometer is dark most of the time and comes on when it wants 2 once in a while. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Have you guys solved the odometer problem?

have had a few do this . i disassy the instrument cluster carefully and found a resistor that had gotten hot and broke loose from the circuit board. the board is green and it turns brown where it gets hot. i used a low amp soldering gun and resoldered it .
