trailer hitch reciever for escort?chevyn0va1 03-17-2005, 01:13 PM Im interested in getting one for my car but dont know what class I can get. anyone know what the towing specs are for this car? Also what class I can get. It seems a class a but I havent a clue. OverBoardProject 03-20-2005, 02:04 AM My old tempo can only tow 1000 lbs which is 1/2 the weight that a class 1 hitch is rated at. I would imagine that your escort is the same, so just get a class 1 hitch. There should be custom hitches available which should bolt on with no holes drilled. Check out the wrecker first they might have that hitch for dirt cheap chevyn0va1 03-20-2005, 07:25 AM My old tempo can only tow 1000 lbs which is 1/2 the weight that a class 1 hitch is rated at.
