After ticking over for about 5mins the car starts to idle at 3000rpm, i have replaced idle stabilisation valve and cold start valve seems ok, all pipes seem in order too, any ideas??

Check post from 3/13/05 " 87 Golf idles @ 3000RPM" for ideas , it worked for me.
