2002 4x4 Blazer 60,000 mile serviceaharris680 03-14-2005, 06:28 PM Hi, My 2002 Blazer is due for a 60,000 mile service. Does anyone know what is actually required for this service. The dealer is giving me a list and most of it is not in my service manual. Here is what they said I need (at over $550): Oil Change Tire rotation and balance Transmission Flush New fuel filter New air cleaner Complete fuel system service Power steering flush Brake system flush None of the final 3 are in the service manual, and these are the expensive ones. Thanks for any help. Alan blazee 03-14-2005, 06:39 PM In my opinion, if you are not having any problems, the last three are not neccessary. Remember a new PCV valve too and also have the transmission filter changed and the cooling system reverse flushed and refilled. Oh, BTW, have the transfer case fluid and the front and rear differential fluids changed as well. And just to let you know, you can most of this stuff by yourself and save yourself some serious money. The ones I would leave to the shop is the cooling system and the transmission flush and refill and the tranny filter. aharris680 03-14-2005, 08:26 PM Thanks for your input. I thought the last 3 were just what the dealer was trying to sell me. Alan BlazerLT 03-14-2005, 10:23 PM Thanks for your input. I thought the last 3 were just what the dealer was trying to sell me. Alan Yea, I would say do the last three at 100,000miles. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
