I have a 1996 Dodge Intrepid 3.5 liter V-6, with automatic transmission. The check engine light came on. When I scanned it, the following codes came up: P0700 - transmission control system malfunction, P1768 - manual specific powertrain trouble code, & P 1698 - PCM fault no CCD message from TCM. Is anyone out there able to please tell me what it would take to fix all this? What are the odds I need a whole new transmission? Any insight, that anyone would be able to help give me would be greatly appreciated. - Thanks!

does it fail to crank at times? i have replaced many ignition switches for this problem but keep in mind you are having a communication or BUS problem at times and many many things affect the BUS system
any controller can pull the BUS down or a short in the BUS itself cheapest thing to try in my mind is the ignition switch and most common
