alright, I finally have a picture of the leak, but have no clue what it ischronofurb 03-12-2005, 02:33 PM I figured out what part is leaking in my truck finally, it is a part numbered 10054756 CAV2, I have no idea what this part is, I would like to know if anyone else does. any help is appreciated thanks alot guys tom3 03-12-2005, 03:35 PM Sure not enough info. Some blazers have an oil filter relocation kit installed in the engine compartment to make it easier to change, if I'm not mistaken. Do you have an oil filter up inside your engine compartment. The lines coming out of it either go to the oil filter, radiator for cooling or an external oil cooler. You can get a seal/o-ring kit to fix it from leaking. chronofurb 03-12-2005, 07:53 PM I do have one of those satellite oil filter installations, if a seal or o-ring could fix that, would it be something I could do: meaning: my expertise is not that great, I know how to change my oil my brakes and my alternator, but nothing like installing a new transmission. thanks Mrfun71 03-12-2005, 07:59 PM It's not hard. As long as the oil lines coming out of it are free, or you can loosen them up, it shouldn't be too hard. Just take out the bolts and the unit will come right out. Of course you'll get oil from it, so have a oil catch pan. There should be a big seal/o-ring that goes around the outside top. I don't know if there is another small one inside or not. Lube the new seal with some oil and put it back up and tighten the bolts. Of course replace any lost oil. They should pull out or there is a bolt in the middle of the two lines holding them there. I cant seem to fit my hand or tools in there to unscrew the bolt, does this mean I need to take off other parts that may be in the way?
