'94 Grand Cherokee best spark plugsekmarsal 03-12-2005, 12:22 AM Hi. I was jut wondering what brand of spark plugs are the best for my newly purchased '94 Grand Cherokee Limited. It has 5.2 V8, and I'm about to do a light tune up but I don't want to put just anything in there. Any ideas. Few people mentioned AC Delco. Also if you have any tips when buying parts for these vehicles I'd be very greatfull. Thank you. bayouwolf 03-13-2005, 04:34 PM I've been using Split-Fire plugs forever and I have never had a problem. The dual platinum tip variety (I can't remember the exact name) are installed in my XJ. they are a little pricey but worth every penny. I've got 120,000 miles on her and I can run 87 octane with NO KNOCK! dksob81 03-13-2005, 04:45 PM well I run the recommended CHAMPION 71 (RC12YC). I was using BOSCH Platinum +4, and my milage dropped dramatically and I didn't see any difference in POWER. so I went back tot he OEM Recommended. Someone made a great point in an earlier post, about CHAMPION and CHRYSLER working together for the past 15 years or so, and these recommended plugs are the best for the tempature ranges and such for this engine. So if you are just going to stick with the OEM Ignition system, then stick with the OEM Recommeneded Plugs. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
