Starting Problemsmjredwood 03-11-2005, 11:44 PM I have a 95 Blazer. Everything has been running fine til today. I tried to start it and it turns over just fine, but will not start. My first assumption would be the fuel pump. Could it be anything else? Is the pump located inside the fuel tank? I am a home do it type of person on a limited income, but if it is the pump, should I get a mechanic? BlazerLT 03-12-2005, 12:09 AM Do you hear the fuel pump whine when you turn the key to the first position? mjredwood 03-12-2005, 12:29 AM I have a 95 Blazer. Can I check this by turning the key to the auxiliary position? BlazerLT 03-12-2005, 12:36 AM Put the key in the ignition and turn it one step towards the direction where you would usually turn for starting. mbwchvy 03-12-2005, 12:47 AM To answer your question, yes the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. Follow BlazerLT recommendations closely, he's one of the Masters. mjredwood 03-12-2005, 01:02 AM Put the key in the ignition and turn it one step towards the direction where you would usually turn for starting. I went and turned the key as you stated...... nothing as far as noises. Next? BlazerLT 03-12-2005, 01:41 AM No clicking, humming, nothing? Which way did you turn the key? mjredwood 03-12-2005, 01:45 AM No clicking, humming, nothing? Which way did you turn the key? I turned the key forward as though i were going to start it. No noise.... no anything. The fuel tank is completely full...(just filled up yesterday) Would this inhibit me being able to hear it? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
