I have the silverstars in my 1997, was a direct plug in. One thing to note however I did NOT know. Silverstars will not ever "blow" they will Dimm very slowly over time. You will never notice as your range of lights becomes less.

Im My opinion, Go with a Bosh or Hella replacement. they still have the HID look alike bulbs.

Sounds like he has to swap in a composite headlight assembly and the composite grill to get what he wants.

You can buy silverstar headlights for your application.

Just start looking a little harder.

i've got silverstars on my 96 blazer! they are only marginly better then stock(but pricey at $20 bucks a peice),my 98 s10 pickups stock headlights still blow the blazers silverstars away, bottom line is its your money,do what you want,as for me I would upgrade to a better bulb, but the silverstars just arnt worth it.....just my 2cnts.

just pull your bulb out, go to autozone or another parts store and replace them with xeon or a higher output bulb, unless you want to switch to haylo/projecots, which in that case with the recessed, you would be in for a lot of work i do beleve
