2000 blazer front discs,need help again

Hello I need some advice again.I have a 2000 Blazer 4x4.
The driver side disc needs to be replaced with a new one.
Do I have to remove the 36 mm nut to do this?If not,how to I get
the disc off.?

Yes, and replace both discs , not just one side.

ok,the 36 mm has to come off.What is the correct way to remove it
and install the nut,how many ft lbs to re torque.
Do I brake it loose with the wheel on the ground,etc?

If you are referring to the nut that threads onto the cv shaft, it does not have to come off. Once the wheel and caliper are removed, the disc should slide off.

TAKE THE TIRE OFF FIRST!
Better yet, you should have a professional do this, you are just heading for trouble.
That or buy a Haynes or Chilton's repair manual to help you.

I have a Haynes manual and it does not show how to take off a front
disk on a 4x4.Lets start over here.
I jacked up 2000 4x4 Blazer (Front drivers side)
I removed the tire
I removed the claliper
Now,does the disc assembly come off at this point or do I need to
remove the 36MM nut?Thats all I want to know.

On a 4WD, the rotor slips on over the wheel studs. They should slide off after removing the wheel and caliper, but sometimes they will stick due to rust, etc. I would spray a little penetrating oil around the studs and then lightly tap around the rotor with a rubber mallet. Just be sure to clean up the oil with some brake clean or it will contaminate the new pads.

Do Not Remove The 36mm Nut!!
1)remove the wheel (5 lug nuts)
2)remove the caliper (2 bolts aka guide pins)
3)remove the mounting bracket (2 bolts)
4) tap around the rotor (from the back) and it should come right off
5) clean the oil off the new rotors with some brake cleaner
6)put the new rotor on
7)bolt the mounting bracket back on
8)push the pistons back in and install the new pads
9) clean the caliper mounting bolts and lube them
10)mount the caliber
11)put the tire back on

Thanks Will let you know how it goes.I am sick of paying repair shops
big money for brake jobs.The shop wanted over 700.00 for
a complete brake job with new rotors no calipers.My total parts
bill is just under 240.00 and a 100.00 for a good floor jack which will
last a long time.

Oh....don't forget to put anti-squel on the back of the new pads
