tubonator supercharger

Supercharge your car for 70 bucks ????? that makes me real nervous.

do they even work? should i buy one?? any help would be great?

lots of controversy on these... i put one on my 1989 chevy celebrity v6 and maybe got an extra mile or two per gallon, and a very slight increase in power. if you have one welded inside your cold air intake i dont see how it could hurt anything. worst case scenario it does nothing, best case you get a little bit. 70$ gamble

Unless it is extremely close to the intake port it will do nothing but slow that air down! The air is inducted by the Vacuum caused by the piston travelling downwards within the cylinder. if you smotth it out you make power, if you ad a piece of metal between the filter and the tb it can only slow the air flow down as it's an obstruction! spiing the air is uselass as before it enters the tb the air takes about a 90 degress turn so any vortex will be interupted (4-cylinders!) then the air has to make some sharp turns before the intake valves open. And the injector spray the fuel beofr it opens and sits on the valve for a split second before the valve opens so it wont mix any better! Not worth the money on a cav and wouldn't really say so on any car! Make carb cars run a little rich(air flow down but also sideway makiing it pass the venturi faster as it travels two directions and suck more fuel out!)

actually i did a little bit of research on these things, and from what ive found, it apparently is kinda like a supercharger in that what it does is pushes more air through the tube into the throttle body, it sits just after the filter, so it can suck in more air, and as for how much hp or mpg you can get, im a little skeptical about that... after all, doesnt the computer try to maintain an air to fuel ratio of 14.1:1? so in my opinion, if youre cramming more air into the cylinders, then wouldnt you also be cramming more fuel in? hence worse gas mileage... just my 2 cents :2cents:

they dont work. It takes alot of energy to compress air. The amount of electrical energy it requires cant be made to work with your cars battery and a little motor. Their is one that does work. Its been proven to work and its a very good design. But its like 800 bucks. It works by having i think 4 batteries attached to it, that take like 10 mins to charge, then you get a 30 second burts of like 3-4 PSI. Then the batteries need to recharge.

everything above is by the manufacturers or the affilliates! They can not possibly speed the air up as they sit there redundant mostly!

don't believe evrything you hear. They're all salesmen. They are trying to get you to buy into them. If I told you a I had a piece of shit that f you rub it all over your air filter the fumes will give you more horse power would you believe me. It's only $70. ha ha

This is Thomas Knight's site. THE ONLY ESC kit that works, and it works great, it does gives you about ten seconds of 5psi from a centrifugal blower, like a shot of n2o but better, and safer. The thing I like about it is reliability! You're not running TC/SC ALL THE TIME, just when you want it. Hell of a sleeper setup, they won't know you have any FI until you press that button, by then they're way behind.

They are working on a system with a bunch of capacitors! But are also holding their fingers crossed that the S.A.E Voltage for cars does go up to 48 volts as It has been recommended to for about 5 years now, But the major manufacturers of Alternators and Starters (Hitachi etc...) are trying to stop this as it will cost them MILLIONS upon MILLIONS to re-engineer what they have been producing with extremely little change since the late 70's for alternators and pretty much from the 40 with starters! Oh well maybe one day!

for 1,200 bucks why not go get a real one i dont realy see a gain. when you could have more than 15 seconds with a normal one

Yeah, I agree, but what if you don't want to run 93 octane all the time or change oil every 1500mi or don't have $2000+? I'd rather have the ESC because it's up to me when I want boost, plus at a strip I'm not going to need more than 20 seconds of boost. I just think it's alot more economical, but if I could afford it, I would have forged internals, a big fuel system, EMS, etc. with about 20 PSI!
