Im triyin to put an aftermarket steering wheel on my 95 jetta III race car but i cannot find a kit to fit it because of the air bag issue, well the air bags deployed when it hit a large rock, i have no use for them anyways cause it will be used as a race car. Any suggestions. The shaft has a 1" diameter and was thinking bout finding another car that has the same diameter and using its installation kit. Dont know what car has that same diameter. Please help.

go to e-bay type in jetta steering wheel. they will pop up. you need the quick release hub about $50 then you can attach racing steering wheel. you may want to look at the steering wheels on there they are pretty reasonable and some come with a hub.
