92 Roadmaster master cylinder

How hard is a master cylinder to replace on the 92 Roadmaster? I have replaced one on my 95 olds aurora, and now a friend needs help on his Roadmaster. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Also how about replacing the rear shocks? Again I have done them on my olds and keep telling my friend... mine was easy, how hard could yours be.

Just take off the lines and the two bolts holding the MC to the booster and it's off. Be sure to bench bleed the new one before installing it to avoid the aggravation of doing it on the car. The rear shocks are easy to get off, the only problem is the upper mounting nuts and bolts that have to be held at the top while you unscrew the bottom.

Thanx for the advice ChrisEJ. Yes the master cylimder was pretty straight foward. As for the shocks...... while we had the car up on the lift to bleed the brakes, we checked out the shocks to see there condition (my friend "thought" his shocks were bad) well they are bad allright. The shocks are both in two pieces! :banghead: So todays project is to remove the rusted stubs that used to be called shocks, and replace with brand new shiny ones! oh yeah! The top bolt looks like it is in a horrible knuckle busting spot. Hopefully not too much blood is spilled.
