Recently my driver window started having trouble while going up. The entire pain of glass shifts down at the front of the window causing the system to close inproperly and leaving a gap at the back of the window/door. Is there a simple fix or do I need to replace the entire window/track/motor assembly?

this problem usually caused by dry window run channels. unfortunately this problem can cause the window regulator arm to bend if left to long. 3m makes a dry silicone spray lubricant in a white can that works great on window run channels. get a can of this and use the straw and spray down in the front and rear run channels while working the window up and down. hopefully this will take care of it and the reg arm isnt bent. if not the regulator arm is available seperate and can be changed, hope this works.

Can the arm be UNbent? Or do you have to purchase a new/used one?

Surfinjoe,

I had a similar issue (sounds like it was exactly the same).

Take a look here.

I used the lubricant described, and put the window down (all most all the way); with a set of lock plyers was able to unbend the arm without taking it off (more work then my small set of tools will allow for).

The problem is that putting the window all the way down puts stress on the arm and over time twists it weakening the arm then it bends. I am now carefull to not put the window all the way down. I think I will have to replace the arm eventualy...
