Hey nova experts or any info people iv got a 1973 nova that i got of some dude for $500 has a 350, he told me the reoson it dident start was cuz of the fly-wheel and the starter so I took the deal but i think somethings wrong with the rearend cuz the wheels wont spin back there like jamd or something even in NUTERAL how much am i looking at guys and can the fly-wheel not working have anything to do with this car not turnin on??????IV also got rust on roof whats a good rust killer??????????

The flywheel is basically what starts the car... to put it basically, the starter turns the flywheel and the flywheel spining is what cranks the car. As far as getting it fixed.. a new flywheel will run about 40 bucks, but getting someone to put it in is gonna run WAY more. Rear-end has NOTHING to do with the car not starting.

Im guessing you bought the car from the gy and towed it to your house? Or is it still at his house? As far as the wheels not spinning, are you sure the emergency brake isn't pushed in? How are you trying to spin them? By jacking the rearend up and turning them, or by trying to push the car?

Sand paper and elbow grease is te best rust killer. =)
