tranny fluid vanished !!Nvblazer 03-23-2002, 06:29 AM I have a frustrated 88 Chevy Blazer ! I started noticing large quantities of smoke exiting my tail pipe !! I noted loss of tranny fluid, I went and had any and all leaks repaired ! Still loosing fluid (no leaks) and smoking up the street on take off, real good after a long idle to a stop, then bam ! smoke screen city! I was told about a modulator valve could be my problem sucking tranny fluid into the exhaust ?? Got any knowledge of such a thing ?? Bill Nvblazer 03-24-2002, 02:41 AM Well hell I went to the parts place to get a modulator, and turns out my tranny does not have one, now I am really confused where the smoke is coming from. I did find a small drip from the front seal area but not bad enough to loose that much fluid ? Gonna take to GM and let them figure it out. Can't be much else wrong with it I rebuilt the carb and put a new motor in. And as a added bonus it starts missing bad again today.... csela1 11-15-2003, 03:33 AM There should be a vacuum source from the engine. That's surely where you're atf is going. gtkriss 11-15-2003, 02:30 PM dude, i totally feel ya...
