Front Bearing ReplacementEbranste 03-23-2002, 04:39 AM OK, I've got a bad bearing on 1 side in the front and I need to replace it. I've had a new bearing pressed in by a shop with my older Civic once and they messed up the job and the bearing was dead in 1 week, so I want to do it myself if possible. A buddy of mine from up north once mentioned he pressed his own in using something he rigged up, but I never saw or discussed the setup. I'm assuming he used a floor jack or bottle jack somehow to do this and I'd like to duplicate it to save myself another painful experience and be able to do this in the future myself. Does anyone know any sites or have any info on how this can be accomplished without taking the spindle to a machine shop to have a new bearing pressed in? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
