Paintless dent repair (non-hail related)

I walk out of work today to find that I've had something (perhaps a soccer ball) leave a dent in the roof of my blazer (about 3 inches above the windshield and just a few inches off the centerline). The dent doesn't have a crease to it and only covers an area of 2 inches around or so. My question is this, I've not used paintless dent repair before and have concerns about its effectiveness. Any advice about does and dont's would be greatly appreciated!

i watched a guy at pontiac do this one time and it did make a very big difference in the apearence on the car. the only draw back i saw was the they drill holes in the panel somewhere out off sight to place there tool in and then plug it with a plastic plug. something like zebart if you have ever seen that. he said he usually charges abot 50 bucks a panel. i have one on my hood that i may have fixed this spring.

Have you tried knocking it back out with your hand from the inside?

soccer ball won't crease metal like that, that was a rock or someone with their heel.

I can't get to the area of the dent due to my overhead console. I'm not sure how to go about pulling the console down.... I just ran a search on the web and found a device, it's an "as seen on tv" Pops-a-dent made by Simoniz. You can find them on ebay around 15 dollars. Curious if anyone has any knowledge on these devices and their effectiveness.

This isn't a crease,, its a nearly perfectly round dent about the surface area of the inside of a table spoon.

Hardball dent probably.

If there is no crease, you might be able to use one of the suction cup dent pullers to get it out.

Hey this might sound crazy but try the Ding king dent puller thing from TV. I used on my car and it pulled out a 3 inch deep round dent almost perdectly. Definately worth it for 29.99. You may be able to get it at SEARS or if you have a Boscovs in your area. Any where they sell the As seen on TV stuff. Good Luck
