is it BS?
is it possible that it could damage the stock parts?
opinions?

I don't deem them worth while.

All they do is advance the timing and usually increase the fuel injector pulse width.

You get better performance but a reduction in fuel economy.

less MPG then I assume

less mpg and for chips like jet to work, you must be or be realy close to wide open throttle

Actually the MPG remains about the same, maybe even a slight increase BUT most chips are designed to be used with 93 octane so any gain would be eat up by the extra 20 cents per gallon.

$1.86 for regular, $1.90 for mid grade and $1.96 for super here in So. Il. Not to bad by comparison. The prices would be cheaper if one guy didn't own 8 out of the 10 gas stations in town.

$1.89 here in pittsburgh for regular, $3.85 a gallon for Blueflame 115 octane...:) (couple of stations here carry it). Useless unless you're running a motor that can burn that hot...:D

Damn! 20mpg? Is that highway in warm weather? Have you done anything to improve your fuel economy?

Well I have wires with 159,000 miles on them, (probably should change them one day) Sparkplugs are platinums with 59,000 miles on them, I have cleaned the EGR pintle, new gasket, PCV valve, new clean air filter, ran two bottles of AMSOIL performance Improver through and that smoothed the idle out...new tires, aligment, fresh tranny fluid, Castrol GTX, AC-Delco filter every 3K.

The motor is 100% stock with OEM parts I have made no modifications, figure the computer is set optimally so if it aint broke I don't fix it.

My driving is 40 miles each way to work, and I am on the freeway 99% of the time with the cruise on...it's winter and suspect things will improve when it warms up...but I am happy with her and will keep running it....
