i know that this question has probley been asked before but what is the difference between the sixteen valve 4age and the 20 valve? ive read that they both make the same hp soooo....?
and how are the valves set up on the 20 is it 2 for intake and 3 on exhaust?
just wondering because i'll be doing an engine swap on my mk1 soon and cant decide. i really want to do a 3sgte but.... lack assistance & resources.

i know a guy who has a mk1 but i believe he told me that the best swap was a supercharged engine from a toyota suv? im not sure, u can correct me cuz id like to know, but i believe that thats the swap most mk1's go to.

tons of dirrfent variations
2 for 16v
redtop and bluetop (smallpor wTVIS and bigport w/outtvis)
both make rouhgly 120p in USDM about 140 if JDM

then tehres silvertiop and blacktop 20V
silvertop has abotu 160 hp black has 170

then theres the supercharged 4agze with is based off the redtop and blue some have tvis some dont they have 145 hop in usa 175-180 in JDM

the 20v's seem to rev harder. just an observation.

20 v silvertop revs to 7400 blacktop i think is tha same but might be slightly higher

huh... so the 20v gets the rpms up faster but lower peak than the 16v?..... i already decided on a swap but im trying to expand my 4ag knowledge and this helps, thanks guys

I dunno, i'm just going by what it seems like watching the 20v levins race... they just seem to keep revving.....i find it hard to believe that its only 7400, but i'm probably wrong... i thought the extra valves should help it breath and rev too...
