How is everyone,

My transport has new plugs already, but it burns gas very fast. I was gonna use plus gas instead of regular to see if it burns any dirt out of the engine cause it worked with my sedan deville. If anyone has any similar problems please reply.

How much is it burning? How far on a tank or how many mpg or L/100kms?

3.1 or 3.8?
What mileage?
How long have you had the car?
Is this new condition? IF so in how long did the change occur?
Is this condition related to cold season?
Have you read the codes?

My transport is a 3.8, it's my grandmoms van, she had it for 4 yrs. Her boyfriend messed it up but I fixed it. It wouldn't start until I checked the relays behind the passenger headlight, then I changed the spark plugs and replaced the 1-4 ignition coil because it was worn out. I haven't checked the codes yet but I will.

A full tank used to last a whole week, now it lasts 3 days. And it's kind of sluggish.

The only thing that I have seen change the gas consumption to that extent is the O2 sensor. I have had that on two different vehicles. When it went on my blazer we went from about 600 kms per tank to about 250 kms per tank...literallay overnight.

Same thing on my truck, but not quite as bad. Have a look at the codes to see if the O2 sensor comes up.

Try cleaning your throttle body mechanism.

Also, if the vehicle stalls when you put it in gear, the torque converter may be stuck in 3rd gear. For more details, see http://autorepair.about.com/cs/troubleshooting/a/aa061701a.htm.
