95 Blazer spark plugs

Here's a real stupid question for you - how do I get to the spark plugs on a 95 Blazer? Do I have to remove the metal manifold with the 'Vortec' logo on it? I don't know why they can't just be exposed and easy to see...

The plugs are on the SIDE of the engine.

Okay, thanks Blazer LT. I'm going to change them tomorrow, as my engine has been running rough lately.

I have a feeling that won't fix it, however, since I get a distinct smell of fuel in the cab when I have over 1/2 tank. From what I've gathered on this forum, that combined with the fact that it's running rough usually adds up to a problem with the 'IMTV', 'CPI', 'EGR', or however many other acronyms I can come up with...

if it only happens over a certain level on the tank, your tank is leaking.

Also, remove the top Vortec name plate, then gently remove the round IMTV valve under it noting how it was orientated and then take a flashlight and look down in and look for washed spot that will be a golden color and pools and smell of gas.

BTW, the spark plug behind the steering shaft is a pain. Make sure you have a couple long extensions and a swivel joint to get to it. Use antiseize on the thread of the new plugs to aid you in removing them next time.

Also, use only AC Delco plugs ONLY.

BTW, you should be doing a full tuneup, not just the plugs.
