I'm not sure which years, but the engines for the aspire and 323 are basically the same (since the aspire engines were made by mazda under the ford licence...and if I'm not mistaken, the bodies were made by Kia under Ford licencing). With some modification, the larger 626 engine will fit in, but I'm not sure what to do about the drivetrain (i'm assuming it would be wise to swap the 636 tranny with it). I had a friend with a mazda 323 and the engines were pretty much identical (except he had power steering and my ford didnt). I no longer have my Aspire...but I really miss it. That was a really fun car! Hope this helps someone. Rob bubba16430 05-13-2005, 03:10 AM thanks for posting , hope it will help someone. As far as the parts i had for sale all have be sold (i end up keeping most of them ) as i bought another 94 aspire. Hopefully this one wont be blown off the road. Ice + wind storm , not a good combo in such a little car. bjboertje 05-18-2005, 09:52 AM i have both a 323 and aspire, cool. bjboertje 05-18-2005, 09:53 AM 323 overheated and blew headgasket :( vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
