I drove my 1998 blazer home yesterday during a snow storm in 4wd
and the next morning when I drove it again when I noticed this growling
noise from the right front wheel. yesterday the noise wasn't there and today it is just like that. I get this noise in 2wd and 4hi. I was told this was consistant with a bad wheel bearing but I just had it replaced a year and a half ago. That is the only wheel bearing I had replaced, the others are original. How can that be?
thanks in advance for any help anybody can give me.

It starts at 30mph and gets louder the faster I go.

Does the sound get worse while turning one direction and get better while turning the other? Any vibration?
If the new wheel bearing wasn't torqued properly it could have easily worn out in the time frame.
