I was talking to my cousin about lift kits the other day, and he said i could make my own body lift kit for like 50 $$, or something like that, is this true? or can i just buy one for that cheap?

Yea you could make your own out of pipe and weld washers on each end.You will need longer bolts also.

I've heard of guys sticking 4x4 wood blocks under their body for a lift too. Heck that could be a free lift if you're looking to get rid of a tree.

the best cheap lift i've heard of is hockey pucks. you can do a pretty cheap suspension lift if you get lift blocks and longer u-bolts for the rear axle and crank the front torsion bars.

Hocky pucks will crack and deteriorate... CRanking the torsion bars up all the way will destroy your ball joints... :(

lift blocks won't help if it's spring under. you can do spring over conversion, though. that'll give you 2" in the rear. i like the pipe and washers idea. i got some suspension lift for $26 and one hour of work. i don't like spending much money, but i can't leave my truck alone.
