1995 jimmy no rear brakes

new calipers , front hoses , pads , master cyl. , rear wheel cyl , and rear shoes .. still no rear brakes ... abs light has been on for two years now . ...when bleeding rear brakes fluid presure seems weak .. and with truck on rear wheel stands wheels keep spinning with brake applied .. pedal seems spongy since brake job ..could abs need bleeding .if so how

maybe some air in your system try bleeding first but it could also be your hydraulic unit causing the problem it has solenoids inside it that are normally open but sometimes they get stuck on the closed position and not allow brake fluid to get to the brakes. try hitting it lightly with a rubber malet see if it breaks loose.

don,t know if this helps but had same problem with truck without asb. had to buy a new brake booster ( the large round can behind the master cylinder ) under $100 new from auto parts store. brakes work fine now
