Hey smokey041369 I need your help (or anybody that would know) You posted in one of my last posts that you changed your 2.2 to a 2.5. I have that 94' S-10 2.2L that needs a new engine and I thought about the V8 or V6 swap but its going to cost me to much. I bought a jeep and need to save the money. Anyway I wondered what went into the swap. What did you have to change and was it pretty easy? What wiring do I need? I'll prob just get an engine from the scrap yard my dad works at and rebuild it, So I should have access to the entire parts truck, so I just need to know what to grab. Thanks for the help.

i would say that if you have a juck yard to get parts from i would drop in a v-8 instead. all you would have to buy then is the rebuild kit for the engine and the s-10 v8 conversion book.

My problem is that the trucks I have in my dads scrap yard are in bad shape, Plus with the V8 swap I would have to trade tranny's and buy the kit with the headers and mounts, I just figured I could rebuild a 2.5 cheap and have a like new engine and just drop it in without all the hassle I would have with the V8. I figure motor mounts and wiring would be the only extra thing I would need. I need the truck to run so I can split the miles on the truck and my jeep, and I need it for work. So I really dont need the V8. How hard was that swap you did?
