no heat

i have 96 Blazer LT i have changed the rad cap i have flushed out the rad. i have change the thermastat down when i turn on the heat for the floor and defrost and the defrost only i get cold air and also my air conditioner comes on so any help would be nice thanks

did you flush the heater core?

BTW, when you use defrost, the AC compressor is used to dehumidify the air.

Only use defrost when needed, not all the time. Don't use blend either.

when i flushed the rad didn't that flush out the heater core? if not how

Do a search and you will find this topic covered many times (even today). If you had the entire system flushed when you say rad flush, it is likely the heater core was not flushed enough or it clogged during the flush. A quick way to flush it is remove the two hoses going into the heater core and use a pressure washer to back flush it. If you just had the vehicle flushed by a shop, take it back and tell them you have no heat and they should reflush it for you.
